Magda Vorster

As CEO of the business, Magda co-founded BVPD in 1997. She oversees human resources management, ethical compliance, staff development, BEE compliance and health and safety. Her extensive expertise in the industry has contributed immensely to the long-term success of BVPD. She is passionate about her role in making a positive contribution to the agricultural sector by establishing a highly motivated and productive workforce that promotes ethical trade. This adds to her vision for the industry: to be acknowledged as a successful and sustainable sector in South Africa with healthy relationships throughout the value chain.

Alna van Antwerpen

Alna co-founded BVPD with Magda and has been leading the business successfully as Manager ever since. Alna’s years of experience in labour relations, recruitment, and ethical auditing have had a positive influence on the skillset of the rest of the team. In her free time, she enjoys reading, walking, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren. Alna’s vision for the industry is that employers and employees together form an esteemed team to take on the challenges in agriculture and that BVPD plays a prominent role in this regard.

Jannike van Zyl

As Manager of BVPD, Jannike manages the business’s Paperless system, marketing, labour relations, ethical audits, and client relations. Her interests include traveling and experiencing new cultures, good food and wine, trial running, and spending quality time with close friends and family. These passions combined with Jannike’s vibrant and positive energy perfectly align with the career she has built for herself and continues to pursue. She dreams of an agricultural sector that applies a more sustainable approach to farming and auditing compliance, and for employees to realise the many opportunities for growth available to those who are willing to go the extra mile.

Reynette Joubert

Reynette joined the business in 2008 and as Administrative Manager, she oversees the business’s employment equity and skills plans, as well as all monthly invoices and related administration. She has a passion for nature and is inherently organised – therefore the glue that holds it all together at  BVPD. Reynette believes that when you pursue happiness without fear, opportunities will present themselves in situations where you least expected it. She lives by the principle to trust in her Creator and herself, knowing that growth is then sure to follow.

Lindi Rossouw

Lindi joined the team in 2017 as a Compliance Consultant responsible for ethical audits and Global G.A.P in the Wellington area. Her passion involves using her friendly and loving nature to make a difference in the lives of others. She enjoys life on the farm and spending quality time with her loved ones. Lindi’s vision for the agricultural industry is that people take the time to have empathy for and patience with one another.

Heleen Kriel

Heleen is BVPD’s Food Safety Consultant responsible for any food safety-related queries, providing Paperless system support, and developing required documentation. In her free time, Heleen loves to read, cook or do anything creative such as needlework and drawing. She enjoys the food safety aspect of her job and finds auditing very interesting, therefore her role as a consultant is a great combination of the two. Heleen envisions a future agricultural sector that is digitised with simplified auditing processes, to remain significant amongst competing for overseas markets.

Ancois-Mari Smit

Ancois’ role as Compliance Consultant involves ethical audits, Global G.A.P, and labour relations. She is a real people person and loves the fact that her job allows her to meet different and interesting individuals. Ancois also enjoys being creative and tries to accomplish at least one creative task each day. She believes that relationships are extremely important and her desire for the industry is that all role players value and prioritise communication and fostering relationships.

Tamsyn Michaels

Tamsyn joined BVPD as Administrative Assistant in March 2023 and assists on the Paperless system with regard to daily tasks.

She loves that every day is different, new and exciting with its own challenges and that she continuously gets to learn something new. Being an effective help to clients and the BVPD team is rewarding and knowing that she contributes in her own way gives meaning to her work. Having worked as an admin assistant and logistics coordinator in the farming industry, Tamsyn has grown to love the agricultural sector and everything it has to offer.
