Our client is looking for a practical, reliable, and self-motivated Mechanic to join their team. This is a versatile role for someone who enjoys solving problems and isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and organize the workshop.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on tractors, implements, and other farm equipment.
- Install, repair, and maintain irrigation systems.
- Carry out general mechanical, electrical, and technical maintenance on the farm.
- Diagnose faults and perform preventative maintenance.
- Ensure all equipment remains safe and in good working condition.
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong mechanical experience, preferably in an agricultural environment.
- A tertiary qualification will be advantageous but is not essential.
- Good practical knowledge of hydraulics, diesel engines, welding, and general repair work.
- Experience with irrigation systems will be highly advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility.
- Valid driver’s licence.
